Youth initiative project: A precious help in starting a business

0

Between the ages of 18 and 30, the creation or takeover of a business in an ultra-marine territory gives rise to the right to financial assistance.

As part of the “1 young person, 1 solution” plan, the Youth Initiative Project (PIJ) aims to support the creation or takeover of businesses by young people aged 18 to 30 in overseas territories. The additional resources allocated to this measure should make it possible to multiply the number of beneficiaries by around 5 and to promote the access of young entrepreneurs to micro-credit and bank credit.

What is it about ?

The PIJ is financial assistance exempt from social and fiscal charges, part of which (maximum 80%) is paid when the business is created or taken over. The second payment comes 6 months later.

The maximum amount of aid has been revised to € 9 (compared to € 378 since 7). This amount is determined according to the characteristics of the project and the number of natural persons benefiting from the project.

Part of the aid (15% maximum) may be devoted to financing training or advisory actions linked to the implementation and development of the project. These actions are carried out by specialized organizations (for example ADIE, Initiative France, France Active, Management shops, business incubators, local organizations, consular offices, etc.).

Who can benefit ?

If you are between 18 and 30 years old and you plan to create or take over a company whose head office and main establishment are located in an overseas department (Martinique, Guadeloupe, Guyana, Réunion, Mayotte), in Saint-Martin, Saint-Barthélemy, Saint Pierre-et-Miquelon, you can benefit from this assistance.

How to benefit?

Send your request to the Prefect (DIECCTE) before setting up or taking over the business. Support the with a file to assess the reality and the consistency of the project and its viability, particularly in view of the local economic environment.

The creation or takeover of the business must take place within 3 months of the date of notification of the decision to grant the aid.

The aid can be combined with aid for the creation or takeover of a business such as aid for the creation or takeover of a business (Acre) or the Aid for the takeover or creation of a business ( Arce).

Implementation schedule:

On 2020-2022.

In order not to leave any young person without a solution, the “1 young person, 1 solution” plan provides for 2020 - 2022: 450 to 550 young people financed and supported for their business creation project in the Overseas Territories per year, i.e. a budget of 9M €.
