New CESC plenary assembly

0

Last Tuesday, the members of the Council, Economic, Social and Cultural of Saint-Martin (CESC) met in plenary assembly to address several points. The CESC has analyzed the proposal to change the date of the commemoration of slavery in Saint Martin, and offers the Territorial Council a broader reflection than the simple change of date in order to submit to the government a calendar of public holidays. Knowing that the official date of the abolition in Saint-Martin is May 28. As for the 2016 budgetary guidelines, the CESC considers that these still do not reveal an action plan commensurate with the needs of Saint Martin: these guidelines remain locked in and constrained by the general situation of public finances. _KL
