After reflection, the prefect, Serge Gouteyron wanted to respond favorably to the requests expressed by the population within the framework of the revision of the PPRN.

"I decided to delay public meetings for four weeks to be able to work on the map of the issues and the draft regulation", he announced Tuesday morning during a press conference alongside the president of the COM .

"It's a wise decision," commented the latter. The second cycle of meetings will resume on June 29 in Grand Case. In the meantime, the Deal services will receive individuals on Wednesday mornings during specially set up hotlines. Following their request, the neighborhood councils will also be able to meet with the prefect on June 22 and 24.

The schedule for the revision of the PPRN is thus modified. "The public inquiry will take place at the beginning of September and I hope for an application of the revised PPRN at the end of September", announced Serge Gouteyron.

Despite this change, the state representative said he was satisfied with the first public meetings. “This consultation time was precious to me. It allowed me to meet the population, to forge links, ”he said. “From the last meeting in Grand Case, I learned the lessons,” he added. By postponing the consultation, Serge Gouteyron wishes to show the population that he listens to it and that he "understands" it.

New calendar of public meetings:

Grand-Case: June 29 at 18 p.m. at the school campus

Orleans district: July 1 at 18 p.m. at the college

Marigot: July 6 at 18 p.m. at the Mont des Accords college

Sandy-Ground: July 8 at 18 p.m. at Aline Hanson school
