Could you survive without air conditioning?

In mainland France, the heat wave alert is launched, but these poor inhabitants of France do not, for the most part, have air conditioning. And in Saint-Martin, could we do without it?

It's because of global warming and new building habits. Before, the houses were made of wood, now it is concrete, which retains more heat. The trees are being cut more and more, but their shade brings a lot of freshness. And the more you put the air conditioning on, the more global warming gets worse, it's a vicious circle.

No, I couldn't. I like cool climates, it's nice not to be hot all the time. In France, summer lasts only three months, but here the heat is overwhelming all the time. When I was little, it was less hot, but it is true that the rare large trees to bring freshness have been cut since to build houses and that there is global warming. The volcanic rocks of Saint Martin keep the heat and the air conditioning is really welcome.

Yes, of course I can. There are plenty of other small ways to stay cool: the fogger, the fan, close the shutters ... but the air conditioning is still very significant when you can afford it!
