Last Tuesday, at the Hotel de la Collectivité, the members of the Economic, Social and Cultural Council of Saint-Martin (CESC) met to address several points: the election of a new secretary, the validation of the internal regulations of the CESC and the social and solidarity economy in Saint-Martin.
CESC members elected a new secretary who will replace Laurent Bayly. This is Philippe Thevenet who was also the only candidate for this post. Regarding the internal rules of the council, the members voted unanimously but with proposals for modification. During this plenary meeting, the council also focused on certain issues, including Sargassum. Finally, Louis Jeffry spoke on the social and solidarity economy. During his speech, he explained to CESC members that there is still a lot to do to develop this economy in the territory._KL
