0

On the occasion of the 3rd edition  of the World Clean Up Day organized last weekend on Galion beach, the Clean Saint-Martin association also celebrated its two years of existence, the volunteers operating as a collective since the end of 2017. Bravo to them!

During this friendly morning, around 850kg of waste was collected by the fifty volunteers present both on the beach and in the water. Fishing nets and ropes, tires, sheets are part of the spoils, not to mention the incessant waste linked to human incivility.

A total of 47 eco-citizen cleaning actions have been organized by the group since its inception, and which each time brings together between 25 and 50 volunteers of all ages.

The association thanks all the eco-volunteers present as well as the partners of the operation: Super U Howell Center and Caribbean Paddling.

Finally, a little nod to Naïma Dessout, Miss Saint-Martin / Saint-Barthélemy 2020, sensitive to the environmental cause which has done honor to her presence. _AF
