Samagest is a subsidiary of Semsamar created in 2002 with the vocation of managing tourism and leisure equipment, cultural events as well as promotion and communication. It was created specifically to manage and operate the Fort Louis marina. The public service delegation contract was signed in June 2000 by the municipality, then transferred to the COM. In 2007, Samagest also obtained a DSP for the management and operation of the Royal Marina.
Following the passage of Hurricane Irma and in view of the damage, Semsamar, which was also in charge of managing the Sandy Ground bridge, expressed its desire to terminate the two contracts in advance; a will accepted by the COM. The port establishment has thus recovered the management and operation of the two marinas.
In this context, Samagest is no longer active. For the moment, no official communication has been made on the issue.
In addition, Samagest had participated in 2011 in the capital increase of the TV channel GTV-Guadeloupe Television to the tune of 300 euros. But in April 000, GTV will be put into compulsory liquidation.
