Since November 2015, the European Bartender School in Sint Maarten has been training students from all over the world in the profession of bartender. It is associated with that of Amsterdam, which itself is part of a network of 25 schools scattered in 17 countries. Intense, the training lasts four weeks and costs € 2100 including guest house accommodation. In addition to mastering free pouring, adapting their role as bartender to the establishment, learning eleven theoretical subjects, students must memorize 75 cocktail recipes. To train they use water and dyes. The diploma is recognized worldwide. But from the start, only two students already lived on the island.
