Thirty disadvantaged families received Christmas baskets last week. An initiative by Lions Club Fort Louis members who solicited the generosity of customers from a supermarket at Hope Estate, explains Sandra Fleming, 1st vice-president of the club.
In the Dutch part, Lions Clubs volunteers also made Christmas baskets for 25 families in need.
