It's the last straight line. The territorial postal agency of Quartier d'Orléans finally has its building and the opening is announced for the start of the school year. This is a service that had disappeared since 2017 from Quartier d'Orléans.
The agency will be located at the Hirondelles residence, behind the Thelbert Carti stadium. A project that has been delayed in recent months because of the difficulty of the various parties to agree on the place because the Prefecture, the Collectivity, the regional management of La Poste and Semsamar were engaged in negotiations. The pole will bring together several branches such as France Service. “Almost all the services of a classic agency will be offered there,” says Anne Berthy Boudon, new regional director of La Poste, who was visiting Saint-Martin on Monday July 25. The difference is that the agency will be managed by the Collectivity. In March, the Executive Council validated an agreement with La Poste. It provided for the Collectivity to provide the premises and for territorial agents to provide the service.
