Every year, the community asks the owners of so-called suction cup vehicles parked on the seafront to remove them. Most of these vans belong to the itinerant traders present in the market. They are always parked in the same place for more than seven days, so their parking is considered abusive.
At the end of June this year, the COM renewed its appeal to owners of new sucker cars. A deadline has been granted to the owners to remove the vans themselves. “When the deadline was exceeded, we identified the remaining vehicles and immobilized them by placing a shoe at the wheel,” explains Thierry Verres, the director of the territorial police. "Five vehicles will soon be removed by the COM services," he said. In addition, the territorial police worked with the territorial councilor Raphaël Sanchez on the question of car wrecks at Sandy Ground. “Together we spotted several end-of-life vehicles in this neighborhood and identified them.
