It's a short trip, but a first on the territory of Saint-Martin. Last weekend, Alain Di Crescenzo, president of the CCI France (Chamber of Commerce and Industry) was visiting with Pierre Dupuy, project manager for overseas public affairs.
Elected at the head of the national establishment in January, Alain Di Crescenzo carries in his campaign an attachment to local action to meet the support needs of companies and project leaders. "There is no management, ambition, objectives and performance without proximity", assured the head of CCI France. “We cannot manage a CCI without coming to see and understand what is happening in such and such a territory”.
This first visit was an opportunity for Alain Di Crescenzo and Angèle Dormoy, president of the CCI of Saint-Martin, to take stock of the island's entrepreneurship network but also to share ways of improving it. The first being support for the digital, environmental and social transition of companies. “The health crisis has served as an accelerator for the digitization of companies”, confided the president of the CCI France. This digitization would go through a digital awareness program, in order to equip each company, small and large, to extend their potential. Alain Di Crescenzo also mentioned in-house training for business leaders. “We train 500 people every year. We want to make the training programs available for Saint-Martin. But the question is how”. The last avenue for improvement mentioned is that of the data which is sorely lacking in Saint-Martin.
If the means of action have yet to be specified, Alain Di Crescenzo assured to make available to Saint-Martin all national information, content and training. Political support around these actions would also be devoted to it.
The president of the CCI of Saint-Martin, Angèle Dormoy, also mentioned Irma's injuries, which are still relevant. It is through proposals to the Collectivity that Angèle Dormoy also hopes to act in favor of business leaders in the area. _pc
