Strike by COM and CTOS agents: still no way out!

0

Negotiations between the strikers, the elected representatives of the COM and the management of the CTOS still failed. Tuesday morning March 19, a meeting whose objective was to end the conflict was interrupted. Scheduled at 9 am, it was organized upstairs where around thirty chairs had been installed so that the maximum number of agents could participate. The local representatives of UTC-UGTG appeared at 9:30 am joined by the general secretary of the Guadeloupe union, Nestorius Favel.

At around ten o'clock, the striking agents remained downstairs and those present upstairs began to protest loudly According to our sources, Nestorius Favel tried to force the gendarmes barrage to reach a place not accessible to the public. The gendarmes prevented him from doing so, which caused a scandal. Once the tension eased somewhat, the meeting chaired by Daniel Gibbs accompanied by Valérie Damaseau continued and then quickly ended. A meeting was finally organized between the union delegation and the COM at 14 p.m. and lasted until 22 p.m. It enabled negotiations to begin on the conflict resolution protocol. It continued Wednesday and right to resume this Thursday at 10 am.
