At the weekly press conference of members of the government of Sint Maarten, Justice Minister Rafael Boasman reverted to an announcement made a few days ago by the attorney general. The latter then indicated in a press release that an asset recovery team was going to be put in place to deal with illegal earnings of money - or earnings from illegal activity on the Dutch side. "As soon as this information was announced, the citizens expressed their concerns about the work of this team" reports the Minister who then decided to take the debate to Parliament to define "what the team was going to do and on what legislation it was going to support ". He also asked the Attorney General to write his instructions to give the public a sense of security.
