The Soroptimist club of Saint-Martin, as usual, marks a pause to project itself on the situation of women and girls, the advances, their rights and the fight that remains to be waged.

Fight at all times in all public and private spheres and from early childhood.

A unique year that takes on a particular connotation with the impact of the health crisis due  to Covid-19 on the employment of women, aggravating their precariousness and reinforcing inequalities between men and women.

Increased risk, physical and psychological security for women is increased by the precariousness of housing with confinement.

However, it should be noted a mobilization of female health professionals on the front line, often to the detriment of their lives.

On a broader level, the pandemic has raised the effectiveness of the leadership of women leaders for their commitment and determination in the management of the crisis (Denmark, Ethiopia, Finland, etc.)

Important role of women in the aftermath of Covid in picking up sleeping talents, developing creativity and this desire to build and move forward. This is a land for leadership development.

The world will not be the same after the Covid, we must ensure that it is better by our commitment on a small scale certainly for a more just, more egalitarian society by being women in the service of women.

In this context and to carry out our actions for the improvement of the conditions of women and girls in our community, the Soroptimist Club of Saint-Martin will launch a draw from a table entitled "Space" generously offered. by artist KIRL.

We would like to thank this artist for his support in Soroptimist projects.
