Sailing on a 4 to 5 meter boat, they took a wave from the back which filled their boat with water. This one ended up capsizing. The two people took refuge on the hull and were able to call for help with their mobile phone.
Immediately, the Operational Center of the Gendarmerie, in connection with the CROSSAG, warns the SNSM, the fire brigade and engages the nautical brigade of Saint Martin. At 19:30 p.m., arrived at the scene, the nautical brigade personnel rescued the two shipwrecked (two adults) between Baie rouge and Baie aux Prunes. The victims, in good health, were then entrusted to the fire brigade. The SNSM was responsible for towing the boat.
