The magistrates of the Assize Court from Guadeloupe have tried last week three individuals involved in the
robbery of Goldfinger jewelry on October 22, 2014 in Marigot.

Two Venezuelans directly involved in the incident were sentenced to 18 and 12 years of age; the prosecution had requested respectively 22 and 16 years in prison.

They have also been definitively banned from staying in France.

The third individual tried, a Saint-Martinois prosecuted for criminal association, was sentenced to 3 years, two of which were suspended.

There remains a fourth individual to be tried, the third robber who had fled and who is in pre-trial detention in the Dominican Republic where he was arrested, pending his extradition to France. (source: www.soualigapost.com)
