STRIKE: The INOVIE Biopôle Antilles laboratories will remain closed all week

0

The INOVIE Biopôle Antilles Group informs the population of Guadeloupe, Saint-Martin and Saint-Barthélemy of the start of a new national strike by medical biology laboratories, from Monday January 9 to Sunday January 15, 2023.

This movement was renewed at the initiative of all the unions in the sector with the support of the main groups and networks of national laboratories (Biogroup, Cerba, Heathcare, Eurofins, Inovie, LBI, Synlab and Unilabs) – all united within of the Alliance de la Biologie Médicale – to respond to the Government's deliberate desire not to take our concerns into account and to refuse any negotiation.

Unable to accept a government savings plan that would jeopardize the density of the territorial network (number of local laboratories), and by extension the employment and the quality of the care provided (reduction of resources and investments), the INOVIE laboratories Biopôle Antilles – like almost all the laboratories – will remain closed all week.

In the absence of a government response to this strike, the medical biology laboratories will take the decision to no longer perform COVID tests from Monday January 16.

Hoping that a concerted outcome will make it possible to defend local and quality health care, we inform our patients that in the event of an emergency, they can dial 15 or go to the emergency department of the establishment of nearest health.
