GOLF: THE CHRISTMAS PERES on the greens of mullet bay

0

Like every year at the beginning of December, the SMGA golf association season ends with the famous "Santa Scramble" where players disguise themselves in Christmas colors without having done the same with their golf carts. Eighteen teams of 4 set off on Saturday morning in joy and laughter for this original competition where each player plays from the position of the best previous ball. The scores in this case are obviously very low.

Everyone had brought their favorite food. We could see on the course between two holes, teams tasting foie gras with soft white sandwiches… A taste of the end of the year.

The Christmas Scramble awards ceremony took place around 13 p.m. at the Bar Code in Cupecoy, which had prepared a nice buffet for the occasion. At the same time, the SMGA proceeded to the presentation of the trophies of the best players of the 2016 season. Congratulations to Pierre Garcia (14 years old) who finishes 1st crude of the season in the Men's category. Philippe Thevenet finishes 1st gross in Super Senior and Anne-Marie 1st net in Ladies. Congratulations to our 3 Tamarins, also SMGA members, for their performance in 2016.

Next golf meeting this Sunday, December 11 Scramble for 2 at Mullet Bay. Registration: golftamarins@gmail.com. 06 90 40 40 48. _AH
