The first special "Jeudigital" Overseas, which recently took place at the Ministry of Overseas, was a success. Saint-Martin was not represented for this first edition, but it will not be long. On this occasion, Ericka Bareigts, Minister for Overseas Territories, moreover encouraged entrepreneurs “to further their research, to create their businesses and to bring innovation to overseas territories”. Five start-ups presented their projects, including Shopîles: a Guadeloupe forwarding company to overseas departments and territories. The State supports innovation through levers such as the research tax credit (CIR) - the main tax system to support companies' research and development (R&D) activities - increased to 50% in these territories, according to the Ministry. _EH
