The goal is simple: to register in a team of 6 people maximum (without age limit) in a district of Saint Martin to collect the most waste which will be deposited in one of the thirteen sectors, some of which are made available by the Community, waste then collected and sorted by volunteers. Many gifts and surprises graciously offered by the partners of Get Up Clean Up await participants to reward them for this eco-responsible act which aims to keep an island clean at the start of the tourist season. The results and the presentation of the gifts will take place at Captain Frenchy in Grand Case from 16 p.m. We should also mention the invaluable involvement of Evelyne Fleming, responsible for the mission of the National Education service, which enabled this novelty for this volume 2 of the competition: the participation of secondary school pupils between 13 and 16 years old in tourism BTS from Mont des Colleges. Agreements, from Quartier d'Orléans and Soualiga, which will form intra-establishment teams and will present at the end of the year the products recycled from the waste collected. They will be provided with different colored T-shirts, one for each college. This initiative was born from a co-piloting created by the Tourist Office with the Rectorate and National Education with a view to raising awareness among these young people particularly concerned by the cleanliness aspect of the island. The 2019 balance sheet was 1652 bags collected, 16 tons of waste. In order for the 2021 edition to surpass this figure, the registration form is waiting for you…! _VX
