Gastronomy: Meet the chef, Jai Lakhwani

Jai Lakhwani's culinary journey began over 14 years ago when he spent hours of his free time in the kitchen.

By helping his mother and experimenting with different flavors, spices and dishes, Jai Lakhwani quickly discovered his ever-growing passion for cooking. He started working with Chef Dino Jagtiani at Temptation for three years and then developed his skills at the Culinary Institute of America located in Hyde Park, New York.

After his educational career, Jai experienced New York's vibrant food industry putting his skills to use at several restaurants including Tabla Oceana North End Grill Tuome and The Bombay Bread Bar.

After 13 years of absence in Sint Maarten, Chef Jai is back home! The Jai's Contemporary Indian Cuisine team is delighted to welcome amateur and fine gourmets from the island to make them have a good time. There is no doubt that you will be seduced by the finesse and creativity of the cuisine prepared by this brilliant chef whose reputation is well established!
