Training: A language course for foreigners wishing to settle on French soil

0

FORE Alternance has been sponsored by the OFII, for more than 8 years, to organize and animate, in all the French West Indies, the language training system for foreigners wishing to settle permanently on French territory and seeking a residence permit.

Head of OFII language training in Saint-Martin, Capucine Bouvier-Muller implemented an innovative project last April involving 5 social action associations in Saint-Martin (AIDES Saint Martin, ACED, COBRACED, Sandy-Ground On The Move Integration and Dangerous Liaisons) who received training from the public.

Thus, the group of learners was divided into 5 pairs, and each was sent to a partner social actor, in order to explore and illustrate the practical implementation of a fundamental value of the Republic . The observation course lasted 2 half days, interspersed between preparation and debriefing sessions in class. Each pair then wrote a report on the different aspects of their experience: professionals involved, public concerned, objectives pursued, resources deployed.

This report is ultimately the subject of a defense to all those who participated in the project: association tutors, educational team and trainees.

Last Friday was held the closing meeting of this project during which the associations presented the certificates of internships. Congratulations to the recipients!
