Created in France in 1981 and celebrated on June 21, the day of the summer solstice, the “Fête de la Musique” has been the biggest musical event held in “the four corners of the world” for decades, including… Saint- Martin!

Each year, more precisely on June 21, "La Fête de la Musique" offers a unique opportunity to many local artists, the opportunity to reveal their musical skills in broad daylight.

The three members of the group "SL Project", Serge Emmanuel (guitarist), Lucien Valier (double bassist) and Jacintho Carty (saxophonist) took the opportunity to show off their hidden talents, last Wednesday, in front of "Normedia-Canon", rue de Holland.

According to confirmed musicians, the saxophone, double bass, guitar formula allows an original sound to interpret jazz standards, from swing, to be-bop, through bossa-nova or hard-bop, with freshness.

One thing is certain, a trio full of talents and follower of jazz caused a sensation for their first participation in "La Fête de la Musique"!

A quick nod also to Jessie, Jay, Jeissy and Jennifer, from the group "Strategy Band" (Soualiga College), who opened the ball of this 36th edition, on the stage located in front of the Front de Mer kiosk. _AF
