Various facts: A new series of armed robberies perpetrated in part Dutch

Dutch police are currently investigating several armed robberies committed between the 1st  and April 6.

Reality check: on Thursday April 1, around 16 p.m., several police patrols went to the crossroads of Long Well Road and Front Street, where a supermarket was the victim of an armed robbery. After interviewing the victims and witnesses, investigators learn that two young individuals, masked and armed with a handgun, threatened the employee and seized the contents of the cash register. The suspects then left the scene in the direction of Great Bay Beach.

The same day, around 20 p.m., police were called to the Ebenezer sector. A man indeed surprised two young people trying to steal his scooter parked in his yard. The two thugs did not hesitate to threaten him with a machete.

Thanks to the responsiveness of the police, the two fellows were finally arrested and taken into custody at the Philipsburg police station.

Finally, on Tuesday April 6, around 3 a.m., a man who had just withdrawn money from an ATM was followed.  by two individuals on the road to Juliana airport.

Dressed in dark clothes and in possession of a handgun, the latter threatened their victim with a gun and stole his money and his scooter. The two robbers then fled in an unknown direction.
