Cultural activities offered by the Cobraced association on the Seafront of Marigot

0

The Cobraced association will be present on the Seafront of Marigot every Saturday from 10 am to 12 pm in order to offer free activities to families within the framework of the “Culture Pour Tous” project financed by the City Policy.

For a year and a half, the Cobraced association has been deploying Ideas Boxes, these kit media libraries designed by Bibliothèques Sans Frontières and designer Philip Starck on Saint-Martin. The Ideas Box host educational and fun activities, digital and creative workshops and offer a selection of multilingual books and digital resources.

From March 20, 2021 to June 19, 2021, an Ideas Box is deployed by the Cobraced association every Saturday morning, from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m., in Marigot, in front of the market. This Ideas Box is open to everyone, especially families. Free activities for all ages are organized there and visitors will be able to have access to:

- A reading corner

- A board games area

- A digital space with free access to relax, get information or learn

- Creative material

- A video space to watch documentaries or films for young and old

  About Cobraced

The association is divided into three operating poles:

- The Educational / Animation pole

- The Social pole

- The Library Pole for all

Each pole responds to a growing need of the child or the family in the Saint-Martin area.

The educational / animation pole responds to the need for educational support and assistance with schooling and sets up animation camps and “Back to school” camps during school holidays.

The social center responds to the many and varied needs of families who encounter social difficulties and which have repercussions on the behavior of parents and children. It includes parenting workshops and administrative and psychological support.

The Library for All division meets the need for easy access to information, culture and multimedia, regardless of the residential area.
