Covid-19: 13 new active cases declared in 24 hours in Sint Maarten

The latest health bulletin from the Dutch authorities dated April 6 reports 13 new people tested positive for Covid-19. This brings the total number of active cases to 35 and 2164 cases recorded since the start of the epidemic.

The Collective Prevention Services (CPS) are monitoring 34 people placed in isolation at their homes, all showing suspicious symptoms linked to the coronavirus.

The total number of deaths linked to Covid-19 is 27.

The number of people healed since the first reported case has risen to 2102.

Otherwise, 58 other people are also under surveillance after they may have come into contact with an active case.

The dedicated team of the Ministry of Public Health, Social Development and Labor (VSA), in collaboration with the Health Care Laboratory Sint Maarten (HCLS), tested 2644 travelers arriving at Princess Juliana International Airport and 24628 people across the country.
