News (Sint-Maarten) Armed robberies in series: the Dutch police on all fronts!

From Thursday 18 to Monday 22 April last, three armed robberies and an attempted armed robbery were perpetrated in several businesses located on the Dutch side.

The first incident took place on Thursday, April 18 at 11:10 a.m. at 2.3 Supermarket (former Afoo supermarket). An individual entered the establishment and threatened an employee with a firearm. The thief, however, failed to perform his act and fled on foot.

The second robbery took place on Sunday, April 21 at around 2:30 a.m. at the Texaco service station in Cole Bay, where the suspect threatened his victim with a stick before grabbing the crate.

The third armed robbery occurred on Monday April 22 at around 13:50 p.m. at CostPro. Four men entered the shop. Three of them, armed with rifles, broke into the establishment while the fourth thief, the driver, waited in the vehicle. His three friends stole an undisclosed sum of money from the establishment as well as several cell phones belonging to customers who were in the supermarket at the time of the facts.

The three criminals then fled on board the parked vehicle not far from the place of the robbery._AF
