André Boudou accused of hitting a man on March 20 in Sandy Groud was summoned last Thursday to the criminal court of Saint Martin.

The victim, Jean-Pierre Le Devehat, is in his dinghy docked at the service station quay when André Boudou parks his boat next to it. According to her, it happens too quickly which creates a stir. Jean-Pierre Le Devehat then points it out to André Boudou who will give him a "slap". Then another blow. In the end, several blows are struck to the victim who loses two teeth and has bruises and cuts.

Jean-Pierre Le Devehat went to file a complaint with him at the gendarmerie two days after the facts.

"He would not have done it if it had not been the stepfather of Johnny Halliday," remarked Mr. Tillard at the beginning of his argument. The victim "did not intend to file a complaint but she wanted to ride the wave of notoriety, because in the end it is only an absurd story of a boat," she continues.

During his hearing by the gendarmes, André Boudou explained that he had defended himself because Jean-Pierre Le Devehat had insulted him. "It is not a gesture of defense but a gratuitous aggression," said the deputy prosecutor.

"It is an unfortunate but reprehensible act," said Maître Davy Barreiro, counsel for the victim.

The prosecution requested a sentence of ten months in prison and a fine of 3 euros. The civil party asked for 000 euros in respect of the losses suffered, 7 euros in respect of dental expenses and a provision of 650 euros with provisional execution.

The judgment was reserved for October 15. (more details on soualigapost.com)
