On Sunday July 14, around 11:50 a.m., a police patrol was dispatched on the road from Gold Finch to Point Blanche to investigate a case involving a construction worker who died in a tragic work accident.
On site, investigators discovered the lifeless body of a man identified with the initials JR (54 years old) of Haitian origin. Witnesses said the victim was busy demolishing a wall at the site, at which time much of the wall broke and accidentally fell on the victim.
Dr Perk attended the scene and pronounced the victim dead. KPSM Forensic investigators and VROMI's inspection service are also investigating the case to determine the exact cause of the accident. The victim's body was transported to the royal funeral home. _AF
