Sint Maarten election: validation of results

The members of the Central Voting Office unanimously validated the results of the last early parliamentary election on September 26 in Sint Maarten. This validation was carried out after the counting of all the ballots cast in the 20 polling stations. The office told media last Tuesday that the count - which took place on October 3-4 - has not changed the preliminary election results: the United People's (UP) party and the National Alliance (NA) have five seats. each, the United St. Maarten Party (US Party) three seats, and the Democratic Party (DP) two seats, totaling 15 seats in Parliament. The institution has started sending letters to elected members of Parliament to inform them. _EH
