Today we are twelve days away from the first round of the territorial elections and nothing is happening. Usually, we saw colored flags flying according to the parties everywhere on the island. This year, nothing. We only find out today the names of the 208 candidates spread over eight lists. Four heads of list already sit on the territorial council (Aline Hanson, Jeanne Vanterpool, Daniel Gibbs and Jules Charville) without counting Alain Richardson alongside who had elected in 2012 Aline Hanson and Jeanne Vanterpool. And if we consider the running mate, sixteen members of the current territorial council are represented.
This year, the head of the list - at least some of them - had a hard time getting twenty-five people to put together a list. And this time spent searching could not be used to develop a program and a real vision for the French part. (More details on www.soualigapost.com)
