The rector of the Academy of Guadeloupe, Mostafa Fourar, who had promised to return "as many times as necessary", is currently in Saint-Martin for two days of work. This is his third visit to the island since his appointment to the Council of Ministers on February 14, 2017.
Arrived yesterday morning, he first supervised professional interviews in the service of National Education. After having lunch at the educational restaurant of the Lycée Professionnel des Iles du Nord, he then went to the different educational establishments in Quartier d'Orléans. He thus visited four schools (two kindergartens, two elementary). Then met the educational community of the Quartier d'Orléans college.
He must meet today, with that of the LP of the Northern Islands. Then he will participate in a working meeting with the COM. He also has an appointment with the member for Saint-Barthélemy and Saint-Martin, Claire Guion-Firmin, as well as with Anne Laubiès, the delegated prefect. He will leave at the end of the afternoon towards Guadeloupe.
