The Maison de Paris and the Pélicarus association represented the Collectivity of Saint-Martin at the 4th edition of the Forum of Overseas Students, in the Gardens of the Overseas Ministry, on Saturday, September 21.

It is the unmissable event at the start of the school year: a fair dedicated to young people from overseas to help them succeed in their return to school and their new student life away from home. More than sixty companies, institutions and associations have mobilized to guide our young people and answer their many questions. How to find accommodation, a job, an internship, a work-study program, how to prepare your curriculum vitae or a motivation letter, or how to succeed in a professional interview… so many questions asked by the students present at the Forum and to which the partners applied respond.

The Maison de Saint-Martin in Paris, in charge of supporting young Saint-Martin residents outside the territory, and the members of the Pélicarus association, were able to meet with many new arrivals and reassure them about their presence by their side. An opportunity also to exchange with the Minister of Overseas, Mrs. Annick Girardin, on the concrete actions initiated by the Collectivity of Saint-Martin in favor of the youth of Saint-Martin.

President Daniel Gibbs welcomed this initiative, concerned about the involvement of the Maison de Saint-Martin with young people living in France and the need to support them throughout the school year in order to help them succeed. this crucial step. The President also congratulated the Pélicarus association which is tirelessly involved with young Saint-Martin residents living outside the territory.
