The Soualiga college located in Cul de Sac was badly damaged by the passage of Hurricane Irma and it was decided not to reopen it but to build a new establishment nicknamed “college 900” because of its necessary capacity. .
This construction belongs to the Collectivity which will be helped up to 15 million euros by the State.
La Savane is the location of this future college. It will be located precisely opposite the school complex. The executive council approved last month the acquisition of a plot of around 3 square meters according to the estimate - not yet communicated - of France Domaines. The “stay of proceedings” procedure will be used for the private projects presented on this plot.
