Education: when will our specificities be taken into account?

2

Former territorial councilor Louis Mussington sent a press release to the media relating to the specificities of Saint Martin in the field of education. He hopes to receive a clear response from the academic authorities to his questions.

"If there is reason to recognize that the national education system has become aware of the urgent need to set up a new administrative organization which takes into account the problem specific to the particularisms of the island of Saint-Martin, strength is to note that no concrete or specific action has been implemented to date, "he said. With regard to bilingual education, it is "a means of transmitting the regional language and culture: the child acquires mastery of the second language without weakening the first". In his press release, Louis Mussington takes the example of Saint-Pierre and Miquelon and underlines that this Collectivity "has an organization of the administration of education services which is specific to it and which responds to its particular concerns. Therefore, the fundamental question which is entitled to be asked remains: when will there be a real service of national education in Saint Martin? ”.

    Hello

Caribbean globish is only a local dialect, the only viable exchange languages: French and English (globish is much too poor in vocabulary, approx. 250-300 words: ask a child in 3rd grade what is a train!… you will be surprised!…)
There are therefore 2 languages to learn French (official) and English (tourists and Batavians)

    Hello,
it would be urgent to keep the pupils within the confines of the establishments; it is scandalous to see the pupils wandering the streets all day long; take a model from the Dutch side; there may be better trained young people and more jobs… ..; it's hopeless to see French laxity
