Education: 390 new high school graduates in Saint-Martin

They were rewarded during a joint ceremony organized by the CVL of the vocational school on Friday 9 July.

At the end of the catch-up exams, in Saint-Martin, the success rate for all fields combined is 88% (7 points less than the academic average). Among the 390 new baccalauréat holders, 200 obtained a mention (51,3%): 4,9% the mention Very good, 15,4% the mention Bien and 31% the mention Assez Bien.

With 98% admitted, the results of the general bac are almost equivalent to the academic average (-0,2%). In Saint-Martin, among the 145 new baccalauréat holders, 94 obtained a distinction, ie 64,8% of those admitted: 11,7% a very good mention, 24,1% a good mention and 29% a fairly good mention.

Just like those of the technological bac: 95,9% (- 0,5%). The STI2D sector obtains 95,8% success, the STMG sector 94,2% and the new ST2S sector 100%. In Saint-Martin, among the 116 new baccalaureate holders, 58 obtained a mention, ie half of those admitted: 0,9% the mention very well, 12,1% the mention good and 37,1% the mention fairly good.

On the other hand, the results of the professional baccalaureate, 74,1% are lower than those of the rest of the academy of Guadeloupe by 15,1 points. If due to the health crisis, some adjustments were made for the general and technological sectors, this was not the case for the professional series. The "production" sectors obtained 74,4% success and the "Services" sectors 73,8%. In Saint-Martin, among the 129 new baccalaureate holders, 48 ​​obtained a mention or 37,2% of those admitted: 0,8% a very good mention, 8,5% a good mention and 27,9% a fairly good mention.

The CVL of the vocational high school Daniella Jeffry organized a ceremony on Friday 9 July afternoon during which all the students of the vocational high school and the best students of the general and technological high school Robert Weinum having received the baccalaureate, the CAP or the boat license, all series combined, have received their diploma. They had invited former graduate students who shared their journey with them and advised them to never give up.

“You have succeeded thanks to your work” congratulated them the Vice-Rector. Janine Hamlet, principal of the vocational school also addressed those who were postponed: “It is not because you have failed that everything is over”.

The Collectivity will reward the winners of the 2021 exams, during the traditional Laureates' evening, next Sunday July 25. As the presence of participants is limited by the Covid epidemic, the Collectivity will broadcast the ceremony on its Facebook page.
