ECO'CED: awareness of recycling in schools

0

ACED (Association Against Exclusion and Crime) maintains its efforts in the field of environmental preservation.

Saint-Martin's education, prevention, cleaning and protection projects have followed one another since 2002. The latest is called ECO'CED. ECO'CED is an initiative focused on cardboard and paper recycling which has been funded to the tune of € 12000 by the City Policy. The objective is to make the pupils of twelve public nursery and primary schools aware of selective sorting. To do this, bins have been decorated with drawings of pets from the island and which have recently received waste paper. This waste will then be collected regularly by agents in integration of the ACED of the school to a storage location to then be recycled or transformed thanks to the intervention of Cindy Choisy (Saint-Martin Art School) who will directly train the agents in the realization of various objects with this type of material, non-negligible additional aptitude in a social reintegration path. Paper still has a bright future ahead of it, for the good of young and old. _VX
