“I was moved to learn of the death of Mr. Marcel Germain, affectionately known as Mr. Marcel.
During the time of the town, Marcel Germain contributed for years alongside the mayor Albert Fleming. Always available, always ready to provide support on sensitive issues, he was a man of experience, much appreciated by regional staff.
While time has passed, it was not uncommon a few years ago to come across the familiar silhouette of Mr. Marcel in the streets of Marigot. It was always a pleasure to be able to greet him
and exchange a few words with him.
The Collectivity has not forgotten its commitment to Saint-Martin and it is
particularly grateful for its investment in the service of Saint-Martinois.
Our deep sympathy and our comfort accompany the family of Mr. Marcel in this difficult ordeal.
I offer them my heartfelt condolences on behalf of the elected representatives of the Territorial Council
de Saint-Martin, from the staff of the Collectivity and on my own behalf ”.
