This solidarity fund will also be extended to new activities, namely for florists, laundries, activities related to tableware and even graphic designers. Car rental companies, advertising agencies, retail laundry and dry cleaners, travel insurance brokers, as well as public relations and communication advice are also concerned. In all, 31 new activities will be able to benefit from the solidarity fund.

The threshold set at 70% of turnover

Another change: entrepreneurs who have recorded a loss of 70% of their turnover due to the Covid, against 80% previously, will now be eligible for the solidarity fund, also specified the minister. As a reminder, companies that have been the subject of an administrative closure can also benefit from the system.

Announcements on partial unemployment and social charges

Finally, Bruno Le Maire announced measures to exempt social security contributions for companies that are administratively closed, subject to hourly restrictions and which show a loss of turnover of at least 50%, “until that the restrictive measures be lifted ”.

The new activities cited by the Minister (florists, laundries, booksellers, tableware, graphic designers) will be able to retroactively benefit from social security tax exemptions over the period from February to May 2020, from which they had not previously been able to benefit. , he said.
