The launch of the “Overseas Youth Network” site took place yesterday at the French overseas ministry. The objective of this platform is to inform and support French youth from overseas territories, and to encourage their initiatives. The Pel'icarus association - which helps Saint-Martin residents in mainland France in their efforts - is also a member of this network, which has 150 workers. Many services are offered online, including a CV library and job offers. “Young people are the first victims of unemployment in Overseas (….) This structural unemployment pushes more than 25.000 young overseas to leave their territory each year, to come to study or work in France”, indicates the ministry which supports this initiative. _EH
