The number of new cases of Covid-19 confirmed from July 18 to 24 remains high but stable: 132 people tested positive against 129 the week before. 64 are between 0 and 44 years old, 50 between 45 and 64 years old and 18 are over 65 years old.
The positivity rate is 11,6% against 12,4% a week earlier. Among the positive samples taken, only four were screened against 10 the previous week. All of the interpretable samples indicated the presence of one of the target mutations of the Omicron variant.
Two samples carried the mutation at position L452, which is present in several Omicron sublineages.
A visit to the emergency room at the Louis-Constant Fleming hospital center and four new hospitalizations were recorded.
