A mural inaugurated at Concordia with the Aides association

In order to highlight the beautiful work carried out by the artists of the WallArt Saint-Martin association and to close the campaign around the world day against AIDS, the road from Spring to Concordia took place last Friday. inauguration of a mural composed of three panels intended to give more visibility to the premises of the association.

“We are closing this campaign with a great demonstration. The inauguration of this fresco will give us more visibility for the public and encourage them to go through the door of the AIDES association ”, underlines Angéline Potier, Aides Saint-Martin delegate.

This inauguration was also and above all an opportunity to highlight  the remarkable work carried out by street artists from Saint-Martin and to embellish a part of the neighborhood, in this case that of Spring in Concordia.

The colorful fresco is made up of three panels which include:

- The logo of the AIDES association, the telephone number and the website

- Two hands which shake in the colors of the Raimbow Flag and which recall solidarity and the fight against discrimination.

- a string of words in 4  languages ​​(French, English Creole Spanish) which recall the values, the battles of the association (screening, prevention, support, defense of rights, etc.)

The president of the Aides association, René Arrondell and its members would like to thank Anne-Karine Fleming, vice-president of Island Gems Charity Foundation who fully funded the fresco with the technical support of Getelec and Pietro de Wood Design, the Wall Art association for the realization of the fresco: including the president Donovan Tremor and the artists, Lily HInckfoot, Angelo, Nicolas Esparon.

Note that until April 2020, due to work, the AIDES association has its temporary premises located just next to the bakery on the corner of Concordia. _AF
