Martinique decided to place in quarantine yesterday a cruise ship of the company Costa Croisières which must stop today in Fort-de-France. The prefecture suspects the presence on board of carriers of the coronavirus. The boat is located 6 km from the coast, at the entrance to Fort-de-France bay.

"As part of its planned stopover in Martinique today, the cruise ship Costa Magica (subsidiary of the American cruise ship Carnival), has reported the presence of several patients on board likely to be carriers of the COVID-19 coronavirus", said the prefecture. "Pending the results, all passengers, including Martinique, will be consigned on board," added the prefecture.
