The Prime Minister of Sint Maarten announced that a third case had been confirmed, a resident who had recently traveled to New York.
He was placed under house arrest. The other two people, a student who returned to the island and another resident who returned from the United Kingdom via Miami, are also in isolation at home.
On March 23, Silveria Jacobs reported that 22 people had been suspected of carrying the virus and 322 were in their fortnight after returning to the territory. Among the 22 potential cases, 12 were negative, two positive (not counting the last) and the results of the other eight are still pending.
