So-called free comfort tests are soon a thing of the past! In less than ten days, on October 15 exactly, the Covid-19 screening tests will become chargeable and therefore not covered by Social Security, with some exceptions.
Prices will range from at least 22 euros for an antigen and up to 44 euros for a PCR test. Be careful, taking an antigen test in a medical biology laboratory will cost slightly less than in a pharmacy: 22 euros in the laboratory against 25 euros in a pharmacy. The price in pharmacies will even go up to 30 euros on Sundays.
In principle, only unvaccinated adults will have to pay to be tested, unless they present a medical prescription.
Minors, even 12-17 year olds who are eligible for vaccination, will not be affected by paid tests. _AF
