Covid-19: Slight increase in the number of contaminations in part of France

The latest health bulletin published by the Regional Health Agency reports 40 new cases of Covid-19 in Saint-Martin for the period from September 27 to October 3. A figure up slightly since 33 cases were identified the previous week.

Taking into account the consolidated data from previous weeks, this brings to 3 the number of cumulative cases of coronavirus confirmed in the territory since the start of the epidemic. It should be noted that since October 789 (current week 3), 40 new cases of Covid-10 have been recorded out of 19 analyzes carried out.

Otherwise, on October 6, 2 confirmed Covid-19 patients were hospitalized at the Louis-Constant Fleming hospital center. Between September 27 and October 3, there was no medical evacuation of a confirmed Covid-19 patient from Saint-Martin to the CHU de Guadeloupe. Two resident patients of St Barthélemy died from Covid-19 during this same period.

Since the start of the health crisis, 55 residents of Saint-Martin and 6 residents of Saint-Barthélemy have lost their lives as a result of Covid-19.

Slight increase in  epidemiological indicators 

According to SI-DEP ARS data, the incidence rate remains high, still being above the alert threshold, at 111.9 / 100 inhabitants against 000 / 92.3 inhabitants the week before.

The weekly positivity rate is stable, below the vigilance threshold, with a rate of 2,6% from September 27 to October 3, against 2,2% the previous week. _AF
