It is a major cultural event in the region. The 5th edition of the Caribbean Writers' Congress opens today at the ACTe memorial, in Guadeloupe. On this occasion, a tribute will be paid to Guy Tirolien. On the theme “Writing (for, on, in) the Caribbean”, the public will have the opportunity to meet nearly 150 authors until Sunday, including Lasana Sekou from Saint-Martin, Montague Kobbe d'Anguilla, Délia Blanco from Saint -Domingue and Ariel Camejo from Cuba. Several round tables, reading and dedication sessions and professional workshops are on the program for this edition which launches “a new era in which the dialogue of the writings of the creators of our Caribbean basin and continental Americas will be brought to life”, according to the organizers.
