The art of preparing Johnny Cakes has no secrets for the 40 participants of the activity offered by the Nature Valley association in Colombier on Saturday, October 20.
For 20 €, in addition to the ingredients and equipment made available, the workshops enabled interested parties to make johnny cakes, mainly fried under the advice of experts in the field.
Always eager to share and make discover the local culture as well as its culinary specialties, the Nature Valley Association is aimed at an audience of residents but also to visitors to the island. "This operation allowed us to raise funds for our association and will also allow us to offer a breakfast this Saturday to residents of Bethany Home as part of the blue week" said Vernicia Brooks, president of the association Nature Valley Colombier.
