Every two years, the Ifrecor national committee (French initiative for coral reefs) meets in plenary session in an overseas community and this year it is in Saint-Martin that the meeting will take place from June 3 to 7 next. The last times that the members had come to the Antilles, it was in 2014 in Martinique and in 2008 in Guadeloupe.
By organizing its plenary meeting in Saint-Martin, the committee wishes to "attract attention" to the island.
